About Perciv AI

Perciv AI develops state-of-the-art machine perception software that enables robust situational awareness across complex environments. Our technology fuses data from advanced sensors such as radar, lidar, and cameras to deliver high-performance perception for aerospace, automotive, and industrial applications. We are a fast-growing, research-driven company operating at the intersection of AI, sensor fusion, and real-world autonomy.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Radar Engineer to help our radar sensing capabilities from the hardware aspects all the way to perception software. You will work across the entire radar pipeline, bridging the gap between raw electromagnetics, classical signal processing, and modern AI-driven perception. You will be responsible for extracting high-quality data from radar hardware and leveraging it to build robust detection, tracking, and classification algorithms alongside our multidisciplinary R&D team.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Radar Pipeline: Design and optimize algorithms across the full radar stack, spanning classical signal processing (angle estimation, Doppler unfolding, ambiguity resolution) and AI-driven perception.

Perception: Develop and tune CFAR and similar detectors, track-before-detect algorithms, multipath mitigation, clutter rejection, ego-motion estimation and integrate these outputs into machine learning models for ground and aerial autonomous vehicles

Hardware Configuration: Manage radar hardware tuning, including custom chirp design, waveforms, range/resolution settings, beamforming parameters, band selection and hopping, and interference mitigation.

Sensor Fusion Integration: Work closely with the rest of the software team to seamlessly integrate radar data into our broader multi-sensor fusion stack.

Validation: Conduct real-world testing, calibration, and performance validation using anechoic chambers, corner reflectors, and real world field-testing rigs.

Requirements

Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in radar engineering, signal processing, or a directly related perception domain.

Low-Level Expertise: Deep, practical understanding of radar principles and direct experience working with raw/low-level radar data (ADC data, Range-Doppler maps).

Algorithms & Perception: Proven expertise in classical radar signal processing, combined with experience in modern perception techniques (detection, classification, tracking).

Hardware: Experience configuring and adapting radar hardware and waveforms.

Software: Proficiency in C++ and Python (and/or MATLAB) for algorithm development and deployment.

Clearance: Must hold a valid EU/NATO passport

Nice to Have

Product Experience: Experience taking a radar product from R&D to commercial or real-world deployment.

Embedded: Experience deploying signal processing pipelines on DSPs, FPGAs, or edge microcontrollers.

Leadership: You led teams working together in real-world projects

Hardware Design: Experience with physical radar design (antennas, PCB layout, radomes, or thermal management).

UAS Experience: Hands-on experience with counter-UAS operations

Domain Experience: Prior work in the aerospace or defense industries.

What We Offer

Work directly on challenging, extremely unique perception problems

See your work deployed in real-world aerospace, defense, and industrial platforms

Flexible working environment and a competitive compensation package
